Abstract

This paper argues that it is important to assess information needs of farmers
and provide/establish enabling circumstances that will help farmers to implement IPM
strategies. Several case examples have been analyzed with respect to the special emphasis
on understanding farmers information needs, preparedness and understanding
theirconstraints, and related opportunities. The present paper also elaborates on
inclusive communication strategies to strengthen IPM intervention.
